- Types of Insecticide -
Contact: These types of insecticides work by killing the pest on contact. It is important to cover all areas of the plant as this type of insecticide kills those it touches and coats the sprayed plant (the pest source of food).
Systemic: These types of insecticides work by being absorbed into the sap of the plant. This means once absorbed by the plant spray is not washed off by rain, will only kill pest that attack then plant plus those hidden from contact sprays.
